Time Change Instructions Toshiba Phone System

Changing the Time on Your Toshiba Phone System

Toshiba CTX or CIX Systems with software release 1.02 or higher

To Set the Date:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook and press an idle extension (Either the Primary Directory Number or a Secondary Directory Number) on your telephone, NOT A LINE KEY. Dial tone is heard.
  2. Dial #651. You will hear a confirmation tone. If you hear a fast busy signal, you either have older software or the feature codes necessary to set the date without a technician have not be set up.
  3. Enter the date as YYMMDD where YY = Year, MM = Month and DD = Day. Example: to enter October 30, 2017, enter 171030.
  4. Press #. You hear a confirmation tone.
  5. Press Spkr. The telephone returns to an idle mode and the display on the telephone should display the new date entry.

(Note: The day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) is automatically set by the system once the date has been entered.)

To Set the Time:

  1. Press an idle extension (Primary Directory Number or Secondary Directory Number) on your telephone, NOT A LINE KEY. You will hear dial tone.
  2. Dial #652. You will hear a confirmation tone. If you hear a fast busy signal, you either have older software or the feature codes necessary to set the date without a technician have not be set up.
  3. Enter the time as HHMMSS in the 24-hour clock format, where HH = hour, MM = minute and SS = seconds. Use leading zeros so that all 6 digits are entered. Example: To enter 6:05 AM enter 060500. To enter 2:30 PM, enter 143000.
  4. Press #. You hear a confirmation tone.
  5. Press Spkr. The telephone returns to an idle mode and the display on the telephone should display the new time entry.

Toshiba CTX 28, 100 and 670 Systems with software release prior to 1.02

The time and date settings on the CTX systems with this level of software cannot be easily changed by end-users. Please contact TriTel Networks at 801-265-9292 for assistance with these systems.


Toshiba Strata Se, VIe, XIIe, and XXe Systems

Settings must take place at Extension 10

To Set the Date:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press # * 51 (If your telephone has RDL (Redial) and REP (Reperatory Dial) keys, press RDL REP 51).
  3. Dial in the date in the format YYMMDD.
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

To Set the Time:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press # * 52 (If your telephone has RDL (Redial) and REP (Reperatory Dial) keys, press RDL REP 52).
  3. Dial in the time in 24-hour clock format HHMMSS. Enter a leading 0 for single digits.
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

To Set the Day of week:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press # * 53 (If your telephone has RDL (Redial) and REP (Reperatory Dial) keys, press RDL REP 53).
  3. Dial in the day of week ( 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, 4=Wednesday, 5= Thursday, 6= Friday, 7=Saturday).
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

Toshiba DK24, DK56 and DK96 Systems

Settings must take place from the phone that is on port 00, which is usually extension 200

To Set the Date:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 651.
  3. Dial in the date in the format YYMMDD.
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

To Set the Time:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 652.
  3. Dial in the time in 24-hour clock format HHMMSS. Enter a leading 0 for single digits.
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

To Set the Day of week:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 653.
  3. Dial in the day of week ( 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, 4=Wednesday, 5= Thursday, 6= Friday, 7=Saturday).
  4. Press # (or RDL) to save the settings.

Toshiba DK8 or DK16 with Release 1 or 2

Settings must take place from extension 10

To Set the Date:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 651.
  3. Dial in the date in the format YYMMDD.
  4. Press the redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

To Set the Time:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 652.
  3. Dial in the time in 24-hour clock format HHMMSS. Enter a leading 0 for single digits.
  4. Press the redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

To Set the Day of week:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 653.
  3. Dial in the day of week ( 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, 4=Wednesday, 5= Thursday, 6= Friday, 7=Saturday).
  4. Press redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

Toshiba DK8e, DK16e, DK40, DK40i, DK280 and DK424

Settings must take place from the phone connected to port 00 which is usually extension 200

To Set the Date:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 651.
  3. Dial in the date in the format YYMMDD.
  4. Press the redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

To Set the Time:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 652.
  3. Dial in the time in 24-hour clock format HHMMSS. Enter a leading 0 for single digits.
  4. Press the redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

To Set the Day of week:

  1. Leave the handset on-hook.
  2. Press INT (intercom button, not a line key) and press 653.
  3. Dial in the day of week ( 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, 4=Wednesday, 5= Thursday, 6= Friday, 7=Saturday).
  4. Press redial button to save the settings.
  5. Press SPKR.

Toshiba Perception PBX Systems

Settings must take place from the attendant console.

To Set the Date and Time:

  1. Press DIS TOD to display the date. The Month, Day, Year, and Day of Week is displayed.
  2. Enter the 7-digit date/day of week in the format MMDDYYD where 1=Sunday, 2=Monday, 3=Tuesday, 4=Wednesday, 5= Thursday, 6= Friday, 7=Saturday.
  3. Press DIS TOD again. The time will be displayed.
  4. Enter the 6-digit time in the format HHMMSS.
  5. Press DIS TOD again to save the settings and start the clock.

Note: If a LPK (loop key) is pressed at any time during this process, the display will clear and the procedure will need to be repeated.
